Summer of DC ’12

I am preparing for my Summer of DC Tour 2012! Won’t you come on out and meet me? I’ll probably be tipsy on Appletinis and giving free hugs. Yes, it’s a DC be-in “happening” (not like M. Night Shyamalan’s The Happening where everyone must run from the wind… I’m not a gassy person).

Florida SuperCon • June 29th – July 2nd

First up is Florida SuperCon, run by Mike Bender. Very excited to be at this one! Hope not to get infected with LQP-79 and start eating off fellow actor’s faces!

This one will be the biggest con I’ve been to and includes the following guests: Alex Kingston (Dr. Who, ER),Tom Savini (Living Dead films), Scott Adsit (30 Rock, Frankenhole), Nicki Clyne (Battlestar Galactica), Michael Hogan (Battlestar Galactics), Dakota Hood (Hunger Games), Richard Horvitz (Invader Zim), Cindy Morgan (Tron, Caddyshack), Alan Oppenheimer (50 years in cartoons and sci-fi!!!), Dino Stamatopoulos (Community, Frankenhole), Billy West (Futurama, Ren & Stimpy) and dozens more!

Aside from signing sessions, I should be in a few panels, including a spotlight panel where I will reprise my Twitter Contest! If you’re in Miami, please come by and say “hi!” (A BIG thanks to @Vonnegutting for getting me in there!)

After 3 days back in LA I get on another plane for Chiisaicon in Shepherdsville, Kentucky – just outside of Louisville! This is a smaller con (compared to FSC) that skews a little younger but has been growing fast in the last three years. Rumor has it they have a Zombie Walk…?

Guests include: Eric Stuart, The Amazing BrandO, Misako Takashimi aka Misako Rocks, Yumi Nagaki, and Kurokiiro Cafe Maids.

The cool thing about this con is that it’s sponsored by The Bullitt County Public Library. What better way to engage the local youth than through anime and videogames? Then slip in some free library cards and the magic of reading? Love it! (Not sure who was behind getting me in this one, but excited to see my A&G Ohio friends Ruggles™ and Mel™!)

Three days after I’m back I get on another plane for Houston, Texas, to shoot indie flick “Helen Alone.” Very excited to play this role… But this will have to wait for another blog post.

Update: Apparently there were! Some Orlando fans banded together and harassed AFO into having me and they acquiesced! Man, you fans are dangerous — and very much appreciated! Excited to be going! Will post more info when I get it…

Canterlot Garden • September 28th – 30th

Then, at the end of September, I return to Ohio (Ohio, you so sweet on me)! This one is unofficial until they announce on their website. But, “when” it confirms, it will be a whole new con experience for me as they are a My Little Pony centric con. It may be the first con where attendees will be more interested in my Transformers: Rescue Bots character, Chase! That pleases me oh so much!
